Google’s New Features help you generate more traffic
3rd July 2019For each website to come out high on different browsers, we need to optimize it and do some SEO work. If you have just started a great website, what you need to do now is to bring visitors. In order to help you, we have prepared a list of tips that we think would help you greatly help.
1. Choose the right URL
Before you begin your website, you need to select the appropriate URL, or known as a domain. This is the address that visitors will write to find your site. The fact that the big sign above the shop window represents, so this will be one of the first things visitors will see when they come to your page. That's why it's also the first place Google looks like to understand what your site is and decide how to characterize it. It is also important to make sure that your addresses are clean and beautiful without any special characters, hashtags and site ID. You get the point.
2. Improve your site speed
Site speed is important for many reasons. If the site takes more than 3 seconds to load, people will tend to leave. But that's also important for Google. Google does not reward quick sites - but punishes the slowest. You can check the speed of your site using a tool like Pingdom. However, it's more accurate to check your speed in Google Analytics if you have it installed. (If not, definitely set it up - it's really easy and gives you very awesome data on your page.) To find the speed of your site in Google Analytics, go to Behavior → Speed on page → View.
In addition, we'll show you how to check the speed of a site made in WordPress: Improve page loading speed. You'll probably see a lot here - do not go out. This is not the time to upgrade the content above (which is what most of your visitors care about), but about how much time is required to load the content of the page, including the back code. Now, there are two quick tips to improve your WordPress site speed in less than 10 minutes:
- Install and install one of the popular cache attachments
- Compress and reload the huge images on your site
- Get a better hosting provider (we recommend SiteGround)
Now # 2 can take a long time if you have a lot of pictures. But it is one of the best and easiest ways to speed up your site for better search rankings.
Once you download these steps, check your page again on Pingdom - you should see a significant increase! If not, you may need to hire a programmer to help with more complex speed problems (or try these steps).
3. Create titles and descriptions for each page
Can you write a unique title and description for each page on your website? These are short texts that accurately and clearly describe what your business is doing, ideally with several keywords and phrases mixed. Have you ever hovered above your browser's board? That short phrase that appears under the mouse is the title of the page. While the description is not visible, the same is very important for search engines! In fact, the title and description are among the first things that Google uses to determine the rank of your site.
Plus - after your site appears on the search results page, web surfers will read your title and description to find out what your site is and decide whether to check it or not. Looking for expert advice on writing a killer title and description? Check out this guide about on-page optimization.
4. Optimize your site for mobile
Mobile has long exceeded the desktop by the number of users who pre-installed. And it's just going to continue to grow as phones are better and voice search improves. Google knows that. And they reward mobile sites with better rankings. It makes sense - Google's goal is to provide the absolute best end-user experience. Obviously, seeing a mobile site on a mobile device will provide the best experience.
5. Utilize anchor text
While writing the text for your website, consider where you can use the text to fasten your site. Attachment text is a simple text for visitors to click to download directly to another website, either on your site or anywhere on the Internet. Effective text should be used to help users reach your website and find what they are looking for. It is also helpful to contain keywords and phrases related to what you do. For example, if you own a shoe store, the words "Check our selection of children's shoes" on your home page can be linked through an anchor to your online store for children's shoes. Anchor text is a great way to boost your SEO, but keep in mind that excessive connectivity or anchors that do not really help your readers to raise red flags with Google.
